One night at a cancer kid support group meeting, two teenagers meet each other for the first time. Hazel Grace, a 16 year old girl with Terminal Thyroid cancer and Augustus Waters, a 17 year old boy short of one leg due to cancer decides to show up that night. They become good friends and start talking about everything. Hazel shares her favourite book, An Imperial Afflictions, with Augustus and they both obsess about the unsolved ending. Hazel spent years trying to contact the Author, Peter Van Houten, of the book but no answer. Augustus Waters gets the attention of Peter Van Houten and invites Augustus and Hazel to amsterdam to tell them about the real ending of the book.
Both Augustus and Hazel have cancer and the Support group was meant for people with Cancer. Do things happen for a reason, or do things just… happen?
I believe things just happen I don't believe things happen for a reason because I find it hard to believe. If somebody were to die that I am close to I wouldn't think that something good would come out of loosing somebody important to me. I believe if somebody were to get hurt or something good happened I think it just happeneds. No matter if your a good or bad person good or bad things can happen to that person that's why I don't believe things happen for a reason.
ReplyDeleteEverything happens for a reason, but even though we don't know what that reason could be sometimes, we just have to make the best of it. Things go wrong so we can learn how to make them right, it happens so we can learn to be strong enough and fight for what we love.
ReplyDeleteI think everything things happen for a reason weather its noticable or not there is always a reason for something to happen. For example when we do something wrong there is always a consiquence for our actions, or when we do something good we will always be rewarded in some way.
